Lasix.

Lasix (furosemide) can be prescribed by your health care provider for the treatment of fluid retention and high blood pressure. The liquid form of Lasix is supposed to be used within 3 months from the moment you opened the bottle – make sure you throw away any unused medicine past this date. Taking more of Lasix is not going to make your treatment more efficient – make sure you always take the right dose prescribed and skip the doses missed if you have to take the next one soon. However, skipping your doses too often can affect the quality of your treatment – so it's best to come up with some way of remembering to take your pills. Lasix can case both mild and more serious side effects. The mild side effects you may get include tingly feeling, constipation, blurred vision, headache, burning, dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain, and numbness. More serious side effects are also possible and may be any of the following ones: loss of hearing, sore throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, ringing in the ears, unusual bleeding, severe rash, and fever. Make sure you tell your doctor if you develop any other symptoms that cause your concern to see if they need to be treated or will just go away on this own.
